The Medaille d'Amour Essential is an exact reproduction of Alphonse Augis’ illustration of a verse from a poem by Rosemonde Gérard Rostand, wife of the writer Edmond Rostand.

The Medaille d'Amour was created in 1907 at the Lyon-based workshops of Maison Augis.
This is a round medallion stamped in 18-carat gold and hand finished. The diamond within the + sign and the synthetic ruby are characteristic of this classic design.
The 0.0145-carat diamond features SI2 clarity and H (white) colour.

The design is engraved and striated to highlight the iconic words “+ qu'hier – que demain” - (“more than yesterday, less than tomorrow”) from a poem by Rosemonde Gérard Rostand: “For, you see, each day I love you more, Today more than yesterday, less than tomorrow.”

The diameter is 18 millimetres. Its average weight is 3.15 grams. It is topped with an oval pendant ring.
